Abstract

The development of society is accompanied by a constant increase in the volume of waste oils and lubricants. The modern approach of economic bodies to these substances has not become systematic, their growth and utilization are not under proper control. In order to contain environmental hazards and conserve these complex material resources, industrial-scale waste disposal technology is perspective. Continuous adsorption purification can become such a technology, so it is important to create appropriate automation systems that ensure its efficiency. The current direction of the research is to determine the set of tasks for control of adsorption purification processes on an industrial scale, their relationships and priorities. The purpose of recycling technology and modern requirements for industrial production allowed authors to form the following strategic (general production) tasks of the control system: ensuring the economic efficiency of production; compliance with product quality requirements; fulfillment of environmental requirements to production. Depending on the economic or environmental conditions external to production, the priority of tasks can be adjusted on the basis of expert methods. In general, this type of task can be solved using conditional optimisation methods. An example of an optimal control task based on an economic criterion is presented. The analysis of chemical-technological system of continuous adsorption purification has shown that the next level of the hierarchy of tasks are technological (tactical) tasks due to the requirements for the properties of regenerated oils and lubricants, as well as the properties of contaminated raw materials, adsorbent and the state of the adsorber, as the main technological apparatus. Each technological task was detailed, this made it possible to formulate control tasks close to typical control tasks taking into account the peculiarities of technology. The final stage of the study of the hierarchy of tasks was to determine a list of mathematical methods that can be applied to control systems for adsorption purification of oils and lubricants. The use of various schemes simplifies the understanding of problems and the logic of the authors' reasoning, contributes to a systematic approach to the automation of adsorption purification. The obtained results allow stakeholders to justify their choice of tasks and mathematical support
