Anti-plagiarism Policy

Bulletin of Cherkasy State Technological University accepts only original articles that have not been previously published. Texts are checked for plagiarism using specialised iThenticate software. The journal’s editorial team considers plagiarism in academic publications to be a breach of professional conduct between authors, reviewers, editors, publishers, and readers, which contradicts the principles outlined in the Publication Ethics section.

The editorial board carefully reviews all cases of detected plagiarism and reserves the right to exclude a manuscript from the review process if violations are found. Each submitted manuscript is evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • If the originality of the text exceeds 85%, the material is accepted for review.
  • If the originality is between 75% and 85%, the author must verify the correctness of citations and references to sources.
  • If the originality of the text is less than 75%, the manuscript is not accepted for review.

The software used for plagiarism detection checks both local databases and online resources. The report generated from this check is thoroughly analysed by the editorial team.

If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the editorial board will conduct a thorough investigation. The authors will be contacted to clarify the circumstances. If a breach of publication ethics, such as plagiarism, is confirmed, the article may be retracted. Borrowings from a single source must not exceed 3%.
