Modern technologies for evaluating the effectiveness of digitalization

Abstract

The paper examines modern technologies for evaluating the effectiveness of digitalization. The process of digitalization is analyzed. It is determined that an integral part of successful companies is a continuous rethinking of the company's development method aimed at a simple, economical and reliable work option, updating and following new trends in the market of technical developments. It has been established that digital transformation allows to optimize business processes, increase the profitability of the company and is focused on creating value to meet the needs of consumers. The stages of the digitalization implementation project, which include: analysis of current resources and processes; development of a plan for the transition to the use of new technologies together with the final goals; implementation of planned activities; evaluation and systematization of the obtained results, are presented. The main tasks of digitalization, such as: development and implementation of a plan for the transition to a new paradigm; migration of information flows into digital form; reduction or elimination of the human factor in typical tasks; automation of processes that can be automated, are indicated. The main problems of digitalization implementation, namely: determination of incorrect or ineffective criteria for evaluation of implemented measures; setting too abstract goals in the approach to the digitalization process; necessity to think ahead and build a map of interaction with the client, effective for both interested parties; retrospective of unsuccessful attempts at transformation; neglect or insufficient attention to cyber security, are presented. An analysis of the current state of technologies and methods for assessing the effectiveness of digitalization is performed. It is determined that in the process of implementing digitalization and evaluating its effectiveness, it is possible to apply intelligent decision support information systems that can adapt to a different set of criteria and their priorities. The basis of such systems may include the implementation of one of the well-known expert methods, as well as the use of multi-criteria optimization methods. The elements of the information system for evaluating the effectiveness of digitalization may include: interested persons, hardware, experts, decision-making complex, knowledge base, user interface. In further research, it is advisable to create a mathematical model for evaluating efficiency criteria and a model for evaluating the digitalization process itself
