Abstract

Disparity of the work of city bus transportations in Cherkasy to modern trends of transport infrastructure development and European standards is set. A necessity for scientific grounding of rational use and effective replacement of bus park in Cherkasy city is proven. The replacement of bus park in Cherkasy based on modern trends of transport infrastructure development is offered. For effective optimization of bus routes, first of all, it is necessary to inspect passenger flows by non-contact method for a year, that will give a reliable basic information for calculations. Rationing of fuel consumption of city buses should be made taking into account the intensity of modern transport flows. Economic calculations which really represent the payback period of the project and grounded fare must be obligatory. For providing of rational use and adjustment of displacement-time diagrams of city buses it is necessary once in three years to conduct control inspections of passenger flows. To increase informative capability of passenger transport work it is expedient to set informative electronic boards for the reflection of displacement-time diagrams, and in busses it is necessary to announce stops with their duplication on an electronic board
